El Cava de Requena
The Spanish Supreme Court has decided not to admit for processing the appeal filed by the Regulatory Council of the Cava Denomination of Origin against the ruling handed down by the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid at the end of last 2022 in which it agreed with the producers of Requena in relation to the official name that this subzone must receive, Cava de Requena.
The DO CAVA Regulatory Council will have to include the name REQUENA among the cava subzones and, therefore, it will be officially identified.
