The designation of origin Wines of the Land of Castilla La Mancha is a geographical indication for wines that are made with grapes produced in this autonomous community. The approval of this denomination came in 1999.
The law by which this indication is created allows the use of it for all wines that have been obtained entirely with grapes from the region. Castilla La Mancha took the initiative in the revolution that the world of wine is experiencing in Spain and created a regional wine, a product that can compete in international markets on equal terms.
