The Galgo wines winery
Our daily contact with producers from different areas led us in the late 90s to get involved in our own wine production.
The main objective is to make wines that are attractive in terms of image and price, with native varieties of the Iberian Peninsula.
We currently work in eight areas: Alentejo, Calatayud, Conca de Barberá, Douro, Mancha, Manchuela, Rioja and Sierra del Segura
Designation of Origin of the Místicos wine
The D.O.P. Calatayud is located in the westernmost part of the province of Zaragoza, 87 kilometers from Zaragoza.
The D.O.P. Calatayud is located within the Community of Calatayud Region belonging to the province of Zaragoza and bordering the provinces of Soria, Guadalajara and Teruel.
From the geomorphological point of view, the Calatayud basin is a miniature reproduction of the Ebro basin with three differentiated units: the outer mountain ranges, the interior of the pit and the foothills.
It is an area of ??complicated orography, located in the foothills of the Moncayo and characterized by a complex hydrographic network formed by various tributaries of the Ebro river, such as the Jalón, Jiloca and other smaller ones. The vineyards descend on the slopes of the mountains, with altitudes that range between 550 and 1,040 meters.
Varieties of grapes used in Místicos wine

The vineyards are located in the Ribota valley, 650 meters high. In the municipality of Cervera de la Cañada, province of Zaragoza. The wine comes from a selected vintage of the oldest Grenache strains in the region. The vines have one of the lowest yields in the world and are grown on the famous "glacis", poor and harsh soils, typical of the area. Very expressive and powerful wine that, for centuries, has been appreciated by Levantine pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago.
