Prosecco wine is a dry or very dry wine, which is made from Glera grapes.

Given the number of areas where this grape is produced, only those that are produced in the regions of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto, in Italy can qualify for DOC prosecco.

DOC Prosecco is protected in Italy, as Prosecco di Conegliano-Valdobbiadene.

Unlike Champagne wines, in these wines the second fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks.
