Viñedos del Jalón
Wineries and vineyards Jalon SA is a trading company owned by the Castle Winery Maluenda, DO Calatayud, the IAF (Government of Aragon) and whose purpose several financial institutions since its inception was to create a strong business group that kept rural development in the context of wine, in this huge region of Aragon wine tradition.
In April 1999, the famous Monasterio de Piedra was chosen for the founding of this new company, Bodegas Jalon SA site, whose goal was to be the growth engine of the Calatayud wines. The company was formed by investing from leading financial institutions and the Government of Aragon through the Instituto Aragonés de Fomento (IAF), and agreements with three major wineries in this appellation.
Bodegas Jalon SA I could not achieve the goal of producing high quality wines without a vineyard potential. Fortunately, the collaborating winery had that potential in an area of approximately 650 hectares. in production.
Through the efforts of hundreds of families of winegrowers and the enormous advances in viticulture and wine technology, the wines of Bodegas Jalon SA are continuously evolving and getting as international recognition of such a competitive market.
