Wine making La Vicalanda Reserva 

After de-stemming and crushing, La Vicalanda Reserva goes through a maceration of about three weeks at 28º temperature. Then the alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place and later the must goes through a racking process to purify the lees and enter the barrel.

What kind of wine is La Vicalanda Reserva 

This wine ages for 14 months in French oak barrels. Subsequently remains 24 months in the bottle.
The Bilbainas h3 winery
It is the oldest in La Rioja. It is composed of three wineries Viña Zaco, Viña Pomal and La Vicalanda.

Denomination of Origin of La Vicalanda Reserva 

Located in the DO Rioja, a name that dates from the late nineteenth century, but is not officially formed until 1925.
The area that receives this denomination of origin includes the autonomous communities of Rioja and the Basque Country.
The grapes produced in this denomination are: Tempranillo, Garnacha tinta, Mazuelo, Graciano and Maturana tinta
The wines of this denomination are characterized for being fresh, aromatic wines, with an excellent ship and above all they are very balanced wines.
Rioja wines are easy to drink wines.

Varieties of grapes used in La Vicalanda Reserva 

Varieties: 1000% Tempranillo.
The grapes used come from the best vineyards in the region, located less than 2km from the winery.
The soils from which La Vicalanda Reserva is born are calcareous and stony. These are therefore poor, low production but high quality.
The vineyards, planted in a glass, are treated through sustainable agriculture.
