Tasting notes:

Almost millimeter balance of red fruits and spices on wood even without fully merging. Scents have a very marked dimorphism; on one hand the fruit is complex, difficult to achieve, and on the other we have very clearly marked spices: black pepper, cloves, vanilla and some charcoal. In retrolfacción domain wins spice, somewhat dry, but more elegant and more richly nuanced.

Wine Characteristics

Torre Muga Winemaking Process

Fermentation in wooden vats, separating the grapes by variety and origin, without temperature control and using indigenous yeasts. Maceration, once alcoholic fermentation is complete, varies and can last up to 2 or 3 weeks depending on the variety and plot. Malolactic fermentation takes place in new French oak barrels from the Allier and Troncais departments, followed by aging for 16-18 months, depending on the grape variety. After this period, the final blending of the wine is carried out. Before bottling, a light clarification is performed with fresh egg whites.

What type of wine is Torre Muga

A persistent and elegant red wine aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
