Description:
The grapes are destemmed and macerated with the skins at a low temperature for a few hours. After gentle pressing, it undergoes cryo fermentation at a very low temperature to extract the maximum aromatic and alcoholic potential.
A fraction of the must is fermented in new American oak barrels in order to obtain greater complexity in the final wine.
Its power and aromatic quality stand out. The initial freshness is provided by the citrus impressions on a smoky backdrop, giving way to memories of white meat fruits, pear, banana and coconut and the end is prolonged with notes of vanilla and a slight cinnamon.
Bodegas Alodia was born in 2005 as the personal project of its winemaker, Sergio Labata. Sergio first trained as an agricultural engineer and then a winemaker. After working in various wineries in Somontano and a brief stay at HopeState Wines' Australian winery in New South Wales, he started his own winery. Since its inception, Bodegas Alodia has stood out among the wineries of the denomination for its unique production in the world, using innovative techniques such as wines without added sulphites or sparkling wines (champenoise method) and betting on the three unique Somontano varieties: Alcañón, Parraleta and Moristel.

The vineyard land of the Somontano Denomination of Origin has three distinct areas: the mountains, the Somontano and the plains. Its total area is 200,000 hectares of surface of which about 100,000 are cultivated. Of the latter, 4,400 hectares are dedicated exclusively to vineyards.
Somontano wines have grape varieties from more than 4,400 hectares of plantations. They are the base from which its good Somontano wines are born: Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, Tempranillo, Syrah, Garnacha Tinta, Moristel, Parraleta, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Macabeo, Sauvignon Blanc, Garnacha Blanca, Riesling or Alcañón are some of them. .
Somontano is characterized by having cold winters and hot summers with significant changes in temperature at the end of spring and autumn. The average annual temperature is 11 degrees Celsius.
Somontano Denomination of Origin wines have very peculiar characteristics: very good alcohol content, fruity and with perfect acidity. In conclusion, they are wines very adapted to current tastes. Buying Somontano wine will give us exclusivity and confidence that we have chosen our wine correctly.
