Muga Rosado winemaking

After a brief maceration in the press for 5 hours, the must ferments at a controlled temperature between 16-18 °C for 15-20 days. This process helps to preserve the freshness, complexity, and aromatic intensity of the grapes from which it is made. Once fermentation is complete, the wine remains in contact with the fine lees for 16 weeks, which provides greater smoothness and persistence on the palate. Before bottling, it undergoes cold stabilization.

At Muga, we always use the finest materials and embrace new techniques that improve quality without sacrificing authenticity. To craft each of our wines, we continue to rely on traditional methods:
Through the natural process of clarification, we remove suspended particles from the wine.
We rack the wine using the traditional gravity method.
We are the only winery in Spain with a master cooper and three in-house coopers.
We make our barrels with the finest oak, giving them the perfect internal toasting to achieve wines with a unique character.

Muga Rosado h3 Designation of Origin

It belongs to the Rioja DO, a designation that dates back to the late 19th century, but was not officially established until 1925. The area covered by this designation of origin encompasses the autonomous communities of Rioja and the Basque Country.

The grapes produced in this designation are: Tempranillo, Garnacha Tinta, Mazuelo, Graciano, and Maturana Tinta. Wines from this appellation are characterized by their freshness, aroma, excellent bouquet, and above all, their excellent balance.
Rioja wines are easy to drink.
