The San Alejandro winery
Bodegas San Alejandro was founded in 1962 in Miedes de Aragón (Zaragoza), in a privileged enclave for the cultivation of the vine, due to the altitude of its vineyards, the rigor of the climate, the slow ripening of its grapes, the diversity of its soils and a long list of singularities that make up its terroir.
Bodegas San Alejandro is also a benchmark for wine tourism in the area, with a wide range of activities to publicize the culture of wine, its history and its tasting.

The D.O.P. Calatayud is located within the Community of Calatayud Region belonging to the province of Zaragoza and bordering the provinces of Soria, Guadalajara and Teruel.
From the geomorphological point of view, the Calatayud basin is a miniature reproduction of the Ebro basin with three differentiated units: the outer mountain ranges, the interior of the pit and the foothills.
It is an area of ??complicated orography, located in the foothills of the Moncayo and characterized by a complex hydrographic network formed by various tributaries of the Ebro river, such as the Jalón, Jiloca and other minor ones. The vineyards descend the slopes of the mountains, with altitudes that range between 550 and 1,040 meters.
The terrain is undulating, with most of the vineyard settling on stony, loose soils, very poor in nutrients and with a high proportion of limestone. They have good permeability and are healthy.
