This innovative winery has as its main objective the elaboration and aging of elite wines.

The design and construction of the winery, carried out by the renowned architect Elesio Gatón Gómez, is completely new.

When the architect received the order of the project, he recalled how the wine was traditionally made: slowly, raised in the absence of light, in a place where the environment remains cool in summer and temperate in winter, without major temperature variations and with such tranquility that You can't hear or run the air.

He thought then of an underground cellar, but serious difficulties soon arose: the water level was much closer to the outside than previously thought, due to the proximity of the Duero River.

It was then decided to build a building for the aging of wine that had the optimal conditions of a buried cellar, but with an aerial character. The walls were covered with earth, which acts as an insulator. The upper area was covered with a swimming pool and, so that the water of the pool did not get hot, they were protected with parasols that, in addition, are raised so that there is a continuous flow of air. It had been achieved in an absolutely natural way to isolate and reproduce the best conditions for the aging of the wine.
