Marqués de Murrieta is a hold over 160 years where the deep respect for history and tradition is a perfect balance with its continued commitment to the future.
Its origins date back to 1852 when Luciano de Murrieta and García-Lemoine forces produce the first fine wine from La Rioja and export for the first time outside Spain - Finca Ygay then acquires and builds its flagship Ygay Castle. It is in 1983 when the witness is picked up by Vicente Cebrian Sagarriga, Count of Creixell, and after his death in 1996 his sons, who currently are responsible for such an ambitious and endearing family project strengthening day after day their presence in different continents.
