It is a well-structured champagne in the mouth.
After years of hard work in the region's vineyards, Emile Paris decided to bottle Champagne under his own name in 1884. Located in the commune of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, just outside of Epernay, the Emile Paris brand was built on strict the tradition. and quality standards. The house received a recognition boost in 1920 with the designation of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ as a Premier Cru site and began exporting its wines throughout Europe. Unfortunately, however, over the next decade (as was the case with many other small-scale wineries) the business declined rapidly, and in his later years, Emile turned the winery over to his son. By the start of World War II, Emile Paris Champagne had completely dissolved and was no longer producing wine.
Almost 75 years later, it was the dealer Patrick Bigar who tried to revive this brand. Coming from the house's original vineyards, which had ever since been supplying grapes to Champagne's monolith Philipponnat, Patrick enlisted the help of Gérard Cuperly as chief winemaker. 2017 marked the first bottling under the Emile Paris name since 1940.
