Wines from the Gonzalez Byass winery
Founded in 1835 by Manuel María González Ángel founded González Byass, thus initiates a long and passionate journey dedicated to the world of wine.
Manuel Mª found the best support to start in the fascinating business of Jerez in his maternal uncle, José Ángel, Tío Pepe. He was the one who taught him everything about fine wine to the point of giving name to the foundational foundation in whose boots can still be read today "Solera del Tío Pepe". This is how the most famous legend of the Fino of Spain and the world begins to be forged.
Encouraged by the continuous development of exports and the growing success of his company, Manuel María González decided to partner with Robert Blake Byass, his agent in England, whom in a letter written in 1844 he recommended selling an "exceptionally pale wine" ... Tío Pepe's first boots sent to the United Kingdom where they had a great reception. The commercial alliance between the Byass and González families was maintained until 1988 when the Byass family left the business and the winery went to the direct descendants of Manuel María González.
