Ribeira Sacra is one of the five appellations of origin of wine in Galicia (Spain). It was created in 1996 with more than 2000 years of history associated with its lands. The D.O covers an extension of 2,500 hectares of vineyard, which represent 5.2% of the land dedicated to the vineyard in Galicia and includes parishes and places of 19 municipalities located along the banks of the Miño and Sil.
Side. Ribeira Sacra is divided into five sub-zones: Amandi, Chantada, Quiroga-Bibei, Ribeiras do Miño and Ribeiras do Sil.
The varieties used in its preparation are: White: Albariño, Loureira, Treixadura, Godello and Dona branca. Blacks: Garnacha, Tintorera and Mouratón.
