The Maetierra winery

Maetierra is an innovative winery serving one of the most modern plantations of white varieties in La Rioja. It was born with the aim of producing whites to the taste of today's consumers, who in Libalis find an explosion of fruity flavours, an enveloping and fresh wine.

The VT Valles de Sadacia Denomination

Valles de Sadacia is a protected geographical indication, used to designate local wines made with grapes produced in the wine-growing areas of four valleys in the autonomous community of La Rioja, in Spain. These four valleys are crossed by the rivers Iregua, Leza, Cidacos and Alhama.
This PGI was created in 2003 with the idea of ??producing white wines from the Moscatel grape in the area of ??La Rioja. This area, which has been producing white wines since the Romans, suffered the scourge of phylloxera, which destroyed almost all the vineyards, but the few wines that were produced were of great quality. It seems that the area is revitalised thanks to the PGI and the drive of the wineries within it.

Grape variety used in Libalis Blanco

Variety: Moscatel de Grano Menudo, Viura and Malvasía.
Organically grown vineyards planted in 1999 at Finca Zarcillo and Finca Mejorana (Calahorra). Land with a lot of salinity and concentration, and few kilos of grapes per hectare. Automatic and night harvest
