Barón de Ley
Wines from the Baron de Ley winery
In Barón de Ley, the harvest is done manually not only in order to pamper each grape bunch to the maximum, but also to put in value our greatest asset: the vineyard. Of course, the fact of having the grapes "at the foot of the winery" contributes very especially to the quality of the wines, reducing to the maximum the times of entry of the grape to the winery during the vintage, thus avoiding undesired fermentations during transport.
Currently in Barón de Ley we manually select more than 850,000 kilos of grapes in each vintage, in a bet unprecedented in our country, discarding percentages of grapes that usually fluctuate between 10% and 20% depending on the vintage and provenance.
