In the third century ACLA Rioja region was inhabited by Berones, a warlike people of Celtic origin, whose villages stretching from the Sierra de Cantabria in the north to the Sierra de la Demanda to the south. This warlike people, but also dedicated to agriculture, livestock, pottery and metallurgy, called their land Beronia.
In 1973 a group of businessmen and friends founded a Beronia Gastronomic Society, whose name pays homage to the primitive inhabitants of this beautiful land. A passion for good food and fine wines, was the origin of the quality wine that long aging winery produces.
