We are before a wine made with 100% grape green grape

Elaboration Beronia Verdejo

Elaboration: After a careful selection of the best grapes of Verdejo, two different elaborations are made, coming from two harvests: one earlier and one later. An explosion of aromas with notes of fennel, grapefruit and stone fruit is sought, as well as a greater concentration and complexity in the mouth.
It is fermented in stainless steel and in a concrete tank. The "inox" gives the fresh fruit and warm concrete is obtained in the concrete because there is more contact with the lees and much thicker wines are obtained. In the concrete, the mouth is worked; and in stainless steel, the fruit.

Type of wine Beronia Verdejo

Two vintages are made to later wine also twice:
• First, an early harvest and fermentation at a higher temperature. Thus we obtain an explosion of aromas with notes of grapefruit and stone fruit.
• Later, a late harvest looking for maturation and fermentation at a lower temperature. In this way we get more concentration and complexity in the mouth.

Sensations of the wine Beronia Verdejo

It is a blend of the two elaborations to obtain an aromatic, fresh, tasty and complex wine in the mouth.
The personality factor of Beronia Verdejo Rueda lies in the authentic union between the Verdejo variety and the typical "gravelly" lands of this land. The vineyard, with brown and stony soils, well aired, rich in calcium, magnesium and with excellent drainage, gives Beronia Rueda unique characteristics.

The Beronia winery

The name of Beronia connects with the history of the lands on which it sits. In the third century BC, the area known today as La Rioja was inhabited by the Berones, a Celtic warrior people, whose first settlements in Tricio, Varea and Leiva, demarcated the boundaries of the Beronia region, what is now La Rioja.
The Beronia winery was founded in 1973 by a group of businessmen, friends among themselves, and in 1982 it became part of the "Familia de Bodegas de González Byass". Today, Beronia is a Spanish winery of reference both nationally and internationally and that produces its wines in the purest and most traditional style of Rioja with its "own personality" and "Beronia style".
In the Beronia Rueda winery, technology and architecture are integrated in the service of nature, harmony and balance unite steel and earth, concrete and grapes or glass and air.
Beronia Rueda has 65 hectares of its own distributed in two farms (El Torrejón and La Perdiz) planted in 2016 with the Verdejo variety.

Denomination of Origin Rueda

The denomination of origin Rueda, is located in the provinces of Valladolid, Segovia and Ávila.
It produces grapes, Verdejo, Sauvignon Blanc, Viura and Palomino fino.
It has 11700 hectares of vineyards and 55 wine producing wineries.
Its white wines are world famous, although red and rosé wines are also produced.

The Verdejo grape

The verdeja grape is a white grape from Spain. It is the product of a cross between the traminer and the white Castilian
Finca El Torrejón has a very interesting soil to produce the Verdejo grape, because it has a lot of alluvium from the Duero and, above all, limestone betas that give the wine a lot of minerality. All the vineyard has been sectorized taking advantage of the different types of soil and sun exposures depending on the slopes.
Finca La Perdiz, where the winery is located, has 25 hectares that are worked with three different driving systems. Each of them favors the plant and the fruit in different ways (lengthening or shortening cycle and favoring an optimal phytosanitary state) in order to elaborate wines of high expression.

Wine pairing Beronia Verdejo

Ideal to accompany fish in its different elaborations, as well as white meat and little fat. Pasta, rice and cheese combine perfectly with this wine.
