Wines from the Hacienda Monasterio winery
Hacienda Monasterio stands on a 160-hectare estate, 78 of which are planted with vineyards. It is located halfway between Pesquera and Valbuena de Duero, famous for the high quality of its wines. At the end of the 19th century, the estate was part of the properties of the family Lecanda, pioneer in the new wine tradition of the area .
The winery, built between 1991 and 1992, was designed by the French architect Philippe Mazières, who had previously worked in such prestigious wineries as Château Margaux, Château d'Yquem Prieure-Léchiné.
