Spanish wines from the Lustau winery
Wines from the Lustau winery
Bodegas Lustau was founded in 1896 by Don José Ruiz-Berdejo
In 1945 Emilio Lustau went from being a stockist to marketing his wines and brandies under his own brands. Thus, brands such as Papirusa, Jarana, Escuadrilla, Emperatriz Eugenia and Cinta de Oro were born. Only five years later, the first exports arrived.
From the 1980s on, under the direction of Rafael Balao, Lustau became one of the most innovative companies in Jerez. In this decade the Solera Familiar range was born, the now mythical Warehouse range was created and the production of Vintages began.
In 1988, Lustau took another step forward in innovation by introducing a new bottle for its wines. An elegant and exclusive bottle from the brand that distinguished Lustau from the rest of the wineries in Jerez.
