The Bal Minuta Winery
In 2011, planting began in a field near Les, in the Aran Valley, at an altitude of approximately 700 meters. From then on, the high altitude, along with its location near the Pyrenees, would become a defining characteristic of Bodegas Bal Minuta. The goal was to cultivate grape varieties to create a distinctly experimental wine. In 2015, the first harvest from the Barbenuta fields yielded the first non-commercial wine from Bodegas Bal Minuta, "Vino de las Nieves" (Wine of the Snows). It was processed and bottled at the Adecuara Agri-food Business Incubator in Biescas.
Pájara Blanco Wine Designation of Origin
The vineyards of "Vino de la Tierra del Bajo Aragón" (Wine of the Land of Lower Aragon) cover a large area of the region where the topography, soil acidity, and climate combine to produce high-quality red, rosé, and white wines that are highly appreciated by consumers.
The wines produced in our wineries maintain the color, aroma, and flavor characteristics of the wine produced centuries ago in this territory.
They retain all the characteristics of their places of origin and are produced in areas with a long winemaking tradition and renowned prestige beyond our borders. During the production of our wines, only authorized grape varieties perfectly adapted to the terroir are used: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Derechero, Garnacha Blanca, Garnacha Tinta, Macabeo, Mazuela, Merlot, Syrah, and Tempranillo.
Grape Varieties Used in Pájara Blanco
Varieties: Garnacha Blanca and Chardonnay
The vineyards are located at an altitude of over 1,300 meters, high in the mountains. This unique landscape imparts the characteristic flavor of the Pyrenees to the grapes.
