The Protos Winery

Protos boasts several wineries across different appellations; while they differ in form, they share a common core philosophy: the pursuit of quality above all else.
Protos has two wineries in the heart of the Ribera del Duero region—Peñafiel (Valladolid) and Anguix (Burgos)—where its renowned *Crianza* and aged red wines are produced. Its other winery is located in the heart of the Rueda appellation—La Seca (Valladolid)—where its successful Verdejo wine is made.
The new headquarters marks a turning point in the history of this legendary winery, which has become a true "cathedral of wine."
With this major project, Protos has also become a benchmark for wine tourism in Ribera del Duero, attracting over 38,000 annual visitors and becoming the most visited winery in the appellation.

Ribera del Duero, an appellation located in Castile and León along the Duero River. It spans the provinces of Valladolid, Burgos, Segovia, and Soria.

Grape variety used in Protos 9 Meses Organic

Wine made exclusively from 100% Tempranillo grapes (locally known as *Tinta del País*). Vineyards certified as 100% organic. The vineyard is situated on a hillside with a north-south orientation. Soil type: clay-loam with slightly alkaline characteristics.
Altitude: 800–840 m. Yields: 4,500 kg/hectare.
