Main grape varieties in Tierra de Leon

Prieto Picudo: It is the red variety par excellence that represents this wine-growing area, occupies 69% of the vineyard area that is cultivated in the mention.
Albarin Blanco: White variety that represents 3% of the cultivated vineyard area. The bunches are small, and the grape is dark and well concentrated with a great aromatic expression.
Mencia: Red variety, occupies 4% of the vineyard area that is cultivated in the mention. It provides aromatic wines that, together with the Prieto Picudo variety, offers good results in interesting red wines.
