The Pagos de Familia Marques de Griñon winery
The Domain of Valdepusa has been owned since 1292 by the family of D. Carlos Falcó, Marqués de Griñón and is located in the Toledo term of Malpica de Tajo. Dominio de Valdepusa is a unique wine farm that occupies an area of 50ha, which includes the original vineyard (14 ha) of Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 1974. Starting in 1991, this was progressively expanded with the “Syrah” and “Petit” varieties. Verdot” -both pioneers in Spain- and “Graciano”.

In 2003, this recognition was validated by the European Union, making Dominio Valdepusa the first Spanish estate to receive a recognition previously only obtained by mythical estates such as "Domaine de la Romanée Conti" (Burgundy) or "Sassicaia" (Tuscany). Its current production of 300,000 bottles, advised by the prestigious Bordeaux oenologist Michel Rolland, focuses exclusively on red wines made from their own vineyards.
