The Viña D’Mateo winery

Viña D´Mateo is our name, it is only the beginning. The purpose is something more important, to make known to Spain and the world that Galicia is, par excellence, one of the richest areas in diversity of wines, all the denominations of origin are different and at the same time have something in common.
The search for things well done, treated with care by artisan hands, is a way of understanding life.
We know how we started this project, an illusion, one summer day, in the Ribeira Sacra, we had a goal and every day it becomes more ambitious, the borders are only those that our imagination marks.

Denomination of origin of Albariño Marola & Mass wine

Rías Baixas is a denomination of origin belonging to the Galicia region. Specifically, it is formed by the coastal part of a part of Galicia, concerning the provinces of La Coruña, the province of Pontevedra up to the Vigo estuary.
The Albariño grape variety has been cultivated in these lands for more than 1000 years, and since the 12th century the existence of Albariño wines has been known. Bo octante is from the middle of the 20th century, when this variety spread throughout the territory.
In the 1980s, the Rías Baixas Regulatory Council and the Rias Baixas Designation of Origin were created.
