Special features of the wine:

Elaboration Vivanco Blanco

Each variety is made separately. After a brief cold maceration (between 6-10 hours), the wort tear is fermented in small stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (12-15 ºC) to preserve all varietal expression. The wines obtained remain in contact with their lees in storage for 4 months to preserve the varietal aromas and provide them with greater harmony and unctuousness in the mouth.

What kind of wine is Vivanco Blanco

Vivanco Viura-Tempranillo white-Maturana white, becomes the first Rioja and World wine made with this unique blend. Starting from the traditional Viura variety as the main component of the wine (50%), two minority and exclusive Rioja grapes are incorporated for the first time, such as Tempranillo blanco and Maturana blanca.

Sensations of the wine Vivanco Blanco

Wine very fresh, and tasty, inviting to drink and enjoy.

The Vivanco winery

Bodegas Vivanco is located in Briones, privileged enclave of La Rioja Alta, in the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria and on the banks of the Ebro River. An area of ??mild microclimate and extraordinary clay-calcareous soils.
Around the winery we find Finca El Cantillo, named after the amount of boulders on the ground. Tempranillo is the fundamental variety, but not the only one. In this vineyard we can also find other varieties that we use in our wines: Graciano, Garnacha, Mazuelo, Viura, Malvasía, etc.
The cellar, underground, is functional and aesthetic. The building was built under the ground in order to eliminate as little vineyard as possible and to minimize the environmental impact in favor of landscape conservation. When making the underground cellar, it was also possible to favor temperature and humidity conditions balanced in a natural way all year round, essential for the good conservation and aging of the wine in oak or oak barrels.

Denomination of origin Vivanco Blanco

Located in the DO Rioja, a name that dates from the late nineteenth century, but is not officially formed until 1925.
The area that receives this denomination of origin includes the autonomous communities of Rioja and the Basque Country.
The grapes produced in this denomination are: Tempranillo, Garnacha tinta, Mazuelo, Graciano and Maturana tinta
The wines of this denomination are characterized for being fresh, aromatic wines, with an excellent ship and above all they are very balanced wines.
Rioja wines are easy to drink wines.

Varieties of grapes used in Vivanco Blanco

Varieties:
50% Viura: Main white variety cultivated in Rioja, it offers fruity wines, with a floral aroma and with a remarkable degree of acidity, ideal for making both young and aging white wines. Our Viura vineyards are located in Briones, Rioja Alta.
35% White Tempranillo: This variety comes from a natural genetic mutation from a single branch of a Tempranillo Tinto strain, located in 1988 in an old vineyard of Murillo del Río Leza (La Rioja). Its aroma is fruity, intense banana, citrus and tropical fruits, and also floral. It does not exist anywhere in the world.
15% Maturana Blanca: It is the oldest variety of which there is written knowledge in Rioja, as it is already mentioned in 1622. The wines of Maturana Blanca are greenish-yellow; fruity aromas of apple, banana and citrus, and also herbal notes.
