Elaboration of Tinto Pesquera Millenium Reserva
The wines of 'Pesquera' are always made from whole fruits, destemmed. The fermentation, at a controlled temperature, lasts between two and three weeks. After pressing, and without clarifying, the wines go directly to a wise and subtle combination of American and French oak barrels with different toasted. There they will rest, between frequent trasiegos, during 18 months the 'Red Fish'.
Its elaboration is totally traditional, with destemming and subsequent alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

After more than 10 years of hard work, that small stone wine press of the 16th century was the germ of one of the most prestigious wineries in Spain. At present, the results of such great effort are appreciated all over the world.

The Millenium grapes come from Viña Alta, where Alejandro Fernández himself planted his first vines in the late 60s and early 70s. It is located at an altitude of more than 800 meters.
