wines Vidadillo grapes
La Vidadillo is an indigenous grape from Almonacid de la Sierra, the only cultivated area in Spain along with Longares, whose origins date back to the 12th century. It is a vigorous variety, long cycle, resistant to drought, of great chromatic intensity, acidity, body, tannin and remarkable aromatic richness with nuances of peach, dairy, blackberry and raspberry. The few strains that remain, all of them very old, are providing high quality wines. Until recently, no careful technology had been used to make the Vidadillo. Now, however, it is discovered that wines made with this grape variety have very particular aromas, different from those on the market.
