When Agustin Cubero built the first winery in 1881 in a small town called Godojos, they never imagine that his family in the twenty-first century continue its tradition.
At first only infrastructure consisting of a network of cellars and underground passages. He lived with wines were spoiled and came to become the focus of their lives. their work effort, enthusiasm, along with the quality of its grapes made him going to his son Tomas Cubero.
Years passed and in 1953 his grandson Agustin Cubero began to expand, modernize and market their wines nationwide. In 1980 his children Maria Isabel and J.Javier, they followed the family tradition, affection and enthusiasm of his family to his parents and several years later joined in 1997 they moved to Calatayud and created a new cellar where until now have made several extensions with stainless steel tanks and aged in French and American oak and equipped with the most modern production techniques. Today the family is Cubero which directly controls the entire warehouse for the fifth generation will also continue making their ancestors. Once the grape acquires maturity and balance of acidity, they begin to work the various variedade, combining the most modern methods of control, chemical and sensory analysis for stabilizing cation and combining it with the experience of our family tradition .
